For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply, unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
HAZ MAT TEAM.
The Fire Department or other trained personnel pursuant to an agreement with the city equipped to provide emergency service in situations involving the suspected or actual spill, leak, accident or other similar occurrence involving hazardous materials.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS.
Material, waste, or a combination of waste and material including solid, liquid, semi-solid or contained gaseous material which because of its quantity, quality, concentration or other physical, chemical or general characteristics pose a substantial present or potential hazard to human health or the environment if improperly treated, stored, transported, disposed of or otherwise managed.
