§ 52.04 PRIVATE WASTEWATER DISPOSAL.

   (A)   Where a public sewer is not available under the provisions hereof, the building shall be connected to a private wastewater disposal system complying with the provisions of §§ 52.35 through 52.62, subchapter "Subsurface Sewage Treatment Systems" of this chapter.

   (B)   At such time as a public sewer of the city becomes available to a property serviced by a private wastewater disposal system, a direct connection shall be made to the public sewer within 30 days in compliance with this chapter, and within 60 days any septic tanks, cesspools, and similar private wastewater disposal systems shall be cleaned of sludge. The bottom shall be broken to permit drainage, and the tank or pit filled with suitable material.
