(A) Any person desiring to install a separate water meter for the purpose of sprinkling lawns and gardens may purchase a water meter approved by the city to measure water for sprinkling. This meter shall measure by gallons. This meter shall be so connected that no water flowing through it shall be wasted into the city sewer. Water charges shall be made for the water used by the meter, but no sewer charge shall be made for the use of the water for sprinkling.
(B) All meters and hookups shall be approved by the city.
(C) All meters and water usage for sprinkling shall not be used before May 1 of each year. Meter use and water use for sprinkling shall not occur after October 20 of each year, and the meter shall be read by the Water Department.
(D) Any water used by the meter between October 20 and May 1 will be considered to be part of the sewer bill.
(E) Billing shall be on a monthly basis and billed accordingly.
