§ 32.05 ASSISTANT CHIEF.
   In order to be eligible or nominated as Assistant Fire Chief, a person must be a member of the Fire Department, in good standing, and have been a member of the Fire Department for a minimum of ten years, must have state certification as a Firefighter I and Firefighter II, Officer I, and also must have served as a Captain on the city’s Fire Department. In the absence or disability of the Fire Chief, the Assistant Chief shall perform all the functions and exercise all of the authority of the Chief.
