For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE (ATV). A self-propelled vehicle which is designed for off-the-road use on snow, ice, dirt, mud, or other natural terrain. It shall not be licensed for highway use or be eligible for licensing for highway use.
ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE (ATV) RECREATIONAL AREA. An area of land designated by the City Council for the use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
NON-OWNED PROPERTY. Real property owned by any person other than the operator of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
OPERATE. To control the operation of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
OPERATOR. A person who is in actual control of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
OWNED PROPERTY. Real property owned by the operator or owner of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) being operated on the property.
OWNER. The person in whose name the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is registered.
PRIVATE PROPERTY. Personal property owned by any person other than the operator or owner of the all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
PUBLIC PROPERTY. Real property owned by any person or corporation other than the operator or owner of the all-terrain vehicle (ATV).
