The maximum axle limits are determined by the two roadway authorities (the state’s Department of Transportation and the county) that have jurisdiction over truck route roadways within the city limits. Load limits on these roadways are dynamic and may alter from year to year. All axle limitations concerning front steering axles and consecutive axles, as listed in M.S. Ch. 160, as it may be amended from time to time, still must be followed.
