§ 30.114 CONNECTION DEPOSITS.
   Prior to the connection of new service or reconnection of old service there shall be a deposit for sewer service as follows:
   (A)   Sewer connection or reconnection deposit shall be one hundred dollars ($100).
   (B)   Said deposit shall be payable to the city prior to the initiation of service; no partial payments on said deposit will be accepted.
   (C)   Businesses shall pay a minimum deposit of fifty ($50.00) for sewer service. The actual deposit to be paid by all businesses will be determined by the city from a calculation of water and/or sewer for an average three (3) month period. If the actual deposit is lower than the minimum fifty dollars ($50.00) deposit, each business will pay the larger amount.
   (D)   If the account has been faithfully paid, with no delinquencies requiring a water termination notice to be sent, the deposit shall be refunded in full to the person listed on the account at the end of one year. Said person shall notify the City Clerk/Treasurer or Assistant City Clerk with proof of payment, their receipt or canceled check, prior to the refund.
   (E)   In the event a default occurs the deposit shall be applied toward any outstanding delinquent account and/or any services to be paid for by the city. Any outstanding amount left after those payments are made shall be refunded to the person applying the deposit.
