(A) Definitions. For the purposes of this section, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
ADULT. A person 18 years of age or older.
MINOR. Any person not an adult.
(B) Curfew for minors under 16. It shall be unlawful for any minor 15 years of age or younger to be upon the public streets, sidewalks, alleys, parks, playgrounds, places of amusement or entertainment, or other unsupervised places within the Village of Cridersville as a pedestrian or within or upon any motor powered or foot powered vehicle between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, official village time, provided, however, that the provisions of this division (B) do not apply to a minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult having the care and custody of the minor or where the minor is upon an emergency errand, legitimate business or activity directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult having the care and custody of such minor.
(C) Curfew for minors between 16 and 18. It shall be unlawful for any minor 16 years or older and younger than 18 years of age to be upon the public streets, sidewalks, alleys, parks, playgrounds, places of amusement or entertainment, or other unsupervised places within the Village of Cridersville as a pedestrian or within or upon any motor powered or foot powered vehicle between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, official village time, except on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays when the hours shall be between 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. of the following day, official village time, provided, however, that the provisions of this division (C) do not apply to a minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian or other adult having the care and custody of the minor or where the minor is upon an emergency errand, legitimate business or activity directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other adult having the care and custody of such minor.
(D) Responsibility of parents and guardians. Whoever, being the parent, guardian or adult having the care and custody of a minor under the age of 18 years, shall allow or permit such minor to violate any of the provisions of this section, shall be deemed guilty of a minor misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as provided in division (F) below.
(E) Aiding or abetting violation of curfew regulations. Any person who shall aid, abet, influence, or encourage a minor under the age of 18 years to violate any of the provisions as contained in this section, shall be deemed guilty of a minor misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as provided in division (F) below.
(F) Penalty. Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section shall be fined not more than $100.
