Should the Building Inspector deem it necessary to obtain the services of a professional engineer in order to: (i) review and evaluate an application for a building permit, (ii) to conduct inspections prior to or while an applicant engages in construction activities, (iii) to test, (iv) to prepare structural or other types of engineering reports, or (v) to undertake any other reasonably necessary investigations or activities, the applicant for such permit shall pay the Village an hourly engineering fee to be set from time to time by the Board of Trustees in order to defray the costs incurred by the Village for said professional engineer.
All additional consultant fees required by the Building Inspector shall be charged to the owner and/or general contractor.
