8-1-14: FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS:
   (A)   All existing and future fire sprinkler systems directly or indirectly connected to the village water system shall comply with the regulations of the Illinois environmental protection agency and the Illinois state plumbing code.
   (B)   No hazardous chemicals are allowed in the systems directly or indirectly connected to the village water system.
   (C)   All future systems must be approved by the public works department before issuing a building permit (for new construction) or before installing such a system (for existing structures).
   (D)   All systems using a pump must be equipped with a low pressure cutoff switch set at twenty (20) psi at the village main. The owner of the premises shall maintain said cutoff switch, test it and certify to its accuracy at least once a year. Said certificate must be made in writing by a qualified party acceptable to the public works department. (Ord. 293-J, 6-14-1995)
