All services hereafter installed shall be a minimum of one inch (1") pipe. All work completed and materials used shall meet the specifications of the Public Works Department. The title of all material used from the main, up to and including the curb stop, shall, upon installation and approval, vest in and become the property of the Village. The service line from the curb stop to the meter shall remain the responsibility of the property owner. The curb stop is Village property and is not to be used by anyone other than Village employees. Installation and repair by a contractor for connections to or in any manner perform any work upon any of the mains, connections or appliances pertaining to the waterworks of the Village shall upon request file a performance bond with the Village Clerk in the amount equal to the cost of the work. Sureties on the performance bond are subject to Village approval. The contractor shall in writing indemnify, defend and save harmless the Village from and against all claims for damages to persons or property by reason of or resulting directly or indirectly from the construction, alteration or repair in doing any work in and about said water mains, connections or appliances pertaining to the Village waterworks. The contractor shall in all respects in performing such work be governed by the rules and regulations now in force or hereinafter adopted by the Village for water main connections.
