For the purposes of this chapter, the words and terms defined below shall have the following meanings:
BODY PIERCING: Any procedure whereby a part or parts of the human body are pierced by a sharp instrument in order to allow insertion of a piece or pieces of jewelry, a ring or other ornamental device through the orifice thus created.
OPERATOR: Any individual, firm, company, corporation or association that owns or operates an establishment where body piercing is performed. (Ord. 567, 3-11-1998)
