All cast-iron pipe and fittings used for sewers of house connections or drains shall be coated with asphaltum or coal- tar pitch and shall conform to the standard specifications for extra heavy cast-iron pipe and fittings of the American Society for Testing Materials or shall conform to the latest standard specifications for cast-iron water pipe of the American Water Association, which specifications by reference thereto are hereby made a part of this Chapter.
