Plans shall be submitted by architects, engineers or the owner and approval obtained from the electrical inspection department before any work is started pertaining to the electrical installation in or on any new building or project covered by these rules. Residences, or remodeling work within or on existing buildings or projects would not be covered by this section except where the work is of such extent as to require plans to be drafted. Approval under this section will not constitute a permit, which must be obtained by the contractor making the installation. (Ord. 310, 2-1-1967)
