4-1-31: SEPTIC TANK AND SEEPAGE BED SYSTEMS:
In all new construction of buildings or dwellings, there shall be installed and provision made for the installation of sanitary wastes through a septic tank and seepage systems, and no overflow shall open into any ditch, drain, road, ravine, coal mine or gulley, nor upon the open ground.
Each owner of a building or dwelling shall provide the building inspector with specifications for the location and type of sanitary sewage treatment system and disposal, showing the size of septic tank, extent and location of all tile fields and other structures, both above and below the surface, as may be pertinent to the public health and safety.
