§ 97.02 INJURY OR DESTRUCTION TO PARKS, SQUARES AND PLAYGROUNDS.
   (A)   No person shall, without lawful authority, pick, pull, dig, tear up, break, burn or otherwise damage any tree, shrub, flower, vine, bush or turf, on or upon any land set aside, dedicated or maintained by the city as a public park, square or playground, or deposit, throw or leave any trash, debris or litter upon any such public park, square or playground.
   (B)   No person shall, without lawful authority, willfully break down or destroy any bench, or damage, deface or alter any guide board or sign, or obstruct or damage any statue, monument, chair, seat or lamp post on any land set aside, dedicated or maintained by the city as a park, square or playground or any railing or fence erected for public use or enclosing any park, square or playground, or any walk or crossing for pedestrians in any park, square or playground.
   (C)   No person shall, without lawful authority, willfully do any act or thing which may tend to injure or disfigure any park, square or playground, which is set aside, dedicated or maintained by the city, or do anything which may interfere with the use thereof by the public for the purposes of pleasure and recreation.
