(A) The 1997 edition of the NFPA 1, Fire Prevention Code and documents listed in Chapter 43 of that code, the 1997 edition of the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code and the 1999 Kentucky Standards of Safety, a copy of which is on file and is open for inspection by the public in the office of the City Clerk, are hereby adopted and incorporated into this chapter as fully as if set out at length herein, and from the date on which this section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall be controlling within the limits of the city. The same are hereby adopted as the Codes of the city for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing conditions hazardous to life and property from fire or explosion and providing for issuance of permits and collection of fees.
(B) Designated enforcement officer. The Fire Chief shall be designated as the local enforcement agent for said Standards of Safety for permits and required fees shall be provided for in a schedule which is adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein.
(C) Permits and fees. The requirements for permits and required fees shall be provided for in a schedule which is adopted by reference as if fully set forth herein.
(D) All final decisions of the fire code official of the city shall be appealable to the City Commission within 30 days after the final decision.
