(A) No unauthorized person shall uncover, make any connection with or opening into, use, alter, or disturb public or private sanitary sewers or appurtenances thereof without first obtaining a permit from the city.
(B) A separate and independent building sewer-sanitary shall be provided for every residential building.
(C) All roof runoff drains which discharge on city streets will be cast iron or steel pipe four (4) feet back from the curb or edge of paving. It will be the responsibility of the owner to insure that the discharge will not undermine the city streets.
(D) The building sewer shall be constructed of a size not less than and of materials meeting the standards of the district. It shall be laid at a minimum grade of one-fourth inch per lineal foot from the building to the public sewer, except that the city may authorize the grade to be as little as one-eighth inch per lineal foot if the city determines such to be desirable or necessary. In no case shall the basement floor be less than thirty-six (36) inches above the crown of the sewer at the point of connection.
(E) In all buildings in which any building drain is too low to permit gravity flow to the public or private sewer, sanitary sewage carried by such building drains shall be lifted by an approved means, and discharged to the building sewer.
