525.17 CONDUCT TOWARDS A POLICE OFFICER.

(a) No person shall knowingly and willfully challenge to fight, assault, strike, resist, verbally abuse or make derogatory remarks to a police officer in the performance of his or her duties.

(b) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
