149.04 LONGEVITY PAY.
   All full-time, non-elected officers and employees of the Municipality (except employees covered by collective bargaining agreements), shall, in addition to all other compensation provided for in this section, be entitled to longevity pay as follows: After completion of five (5) years of continuous service, the sum of three hundred ($300.00) dollars. After the completion of six (6) years of continuous service, the sum of three hundred ($300.00) dollars plus seventy-five dollars ($75.00) for each year of continuous service over five (5) years, up to and including twenty-four (24) years. Said compensation for length of service shall be paid by separate check on or about the first day of December of each year beginning with the calendar year in which the employee completes, on or before December 31, five (5) years of continuous service. In case of death or retirement, the employee shall be paid for the number of months on the payroll on a prorated basis. Employees terminating prior to December for any reason, other than death or retirement, shall forfeit longevity compensation.
