Immediately upon the registration of a bicycle in his or her office, the Borough Enforcement Officer, or someone in his or her office designated by him or her, shall provide a metallic license tag, together with a registration card, bearing a serial number to correspond with the registration of such bicycle. Such tag shall thereafter remain affixed to such bicycle, unless removed by the Borough Enforcement Officer or someone in his or her office designated by him or her, for cause, or for replacement with another tag. Such tags and cards shall be furnished at the expense of the borough and shall be issued without payment or any fee by the registrant.
