Any driver or owner of a motor vehicle, or any owner, agent or tenant of premises which violates the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction before a district justice, pay a fine of $50, together with costs of prosecution and in default of payment, undergo imprisonment for no more than ten days. Prosecution shall be brought by the Road Committee Chairperson, and in his or her absence the Mayor, and in his or her absence the Council President.
