(A) The following salaries are hereby established for elected city officials.
(1) Mayor. The Mayor shall receive $500 per year.
(2) Alderpersons. Each Alderperson shall receive $400 per year.
(3) Clerk. The Clerk shall receive $400 per year.
(4) Treasurer. The Treasurer shall receive $500 per year.
(B) (1) The salaries of elected officials who hold elective office for a definite term shall neither be increased nor diminished during that term and shall be fixed at least 180 days before the beginning of the terms of the officers whose compensation is to be filed.
(2) The ordinance fixing compensation for members of the corporate authorities shall specify whether those members are to be compensated at an annual rate or for each meeting of the corporate authorities actually attended, if public notice of the meeting was given.
