§ 31.26 CITY COLLECTOR.
   (A)   Established. There is hereby established an executive office in the city known as the City Collector.

   (B)   Appointment. The City Collector shall be appointed by the Mayor, with the advice and consent of the City Council, at the annual meeting in May for a term of one year, and that person shall be the City Clerk.

   (C)   Duties. The City Collector shall prepare monthly utility bills, send out statements, and receive collections for the same and perform any similar functions necessary for the proper execution of said office so designated by the City Council.

   (D)   Salary. The City Collector shall receive reasonable compensation for his or her services, and the same shall be provided for in the annual appropriation ordinance on an estimated basis that may be an hourly pay.
