§ 30.01 ELECTION; CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER.
   (A)   Election. The Mayor shall be elected for a four-year term and shall serve until a successor is elected and has qualified.

   (B)   Chief executive officer. The Mayor shall be the chief executive officer of the city and shall see to the enforcement of all laws and ordinances. The Mayor shall preside over the meetings of the City Council and perform such duties as may be required of him or her by statute or law. The Mayor shall have supervision over all of the executive officers and city employees; provided, however, his or her control is subject to the power of the City Council to prescribe the duties of various officers and employees. The Mayor shall have the power and authority, at any reasonable time, to inspect all books, papers, and records pertaining to city affairs and kept by any officer of the city.
