§ 36.04 IDENTITY THEFT PREVENTION PROGRAM ADOPTED.
   The city developed the Identity Theft Prevention Program pursuant to the Federal Trade Commission’s Red Flags Rule, which implements § 114 of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions of 2003, 16 C.F.R. § 681.2. The program was developed with oversight and approval of the city. After consideration of the size and complexity of the utility’s operations and account systems and the nature and scope of the utility’s activities, the City Council determined that this program was appropriate for the city, and therefore approved this program on February 9, 2009. Therefore, the program and policy on identity theft prevention is adopted by reference, as if set forth in full herein.
