§ 111.20  SCHEDULE OF FARES; PAYMENT OF FARES.
   (A)   No person owning or operating a taxicab within the town limits may charge fares in excess of those prescribed in the schedule of taxicab fares adopted by resolution of the Town Board, a copy of which shall be on file in the Town Clerk’s office and shall also be available from the Taxicab Administrator.
   (B)   Every taxicab shall have at all times prominently displayed, in the interior and on the exterior of the taxicab, so as to be easily visible to passengers, the rates of fare charged by the operators of such taxicabs.
   (C)   Every driver of a taxicab shall have the right to demand payment of deposit in advance and may refuse employment unless so prepaid; provided, however, that, if the metered fare is less than the deposit, the passenger shall be refunded the difference.
   (D)   No passenger may refuse to pay the fares properly charged in accordance with the provisions of this section.
   (E)   If demanded by the passenger, the operator of a taxicab shall deliver to the person paying the fare, at the time of such payment, a receipt. The receipt shall be in legible type or writing containing the following information: the name of the taxicab company, the name of the driver, the number of the taxicab, any items for which a charge has been made, the total amount paid and the date of such payment.
