(A) All officers and employees appointed by the Board shall serve at the pleasure of the Board, in their appointed functions, except as otherwise provided by law, and shall receive for their services’ compensation as may be established annually in the budget ordinance.
(B) The Board shall prescribe the required bond for each officer or employee as required by the General Statutes.
(C) All town officers required to take an oath shall take the following oath before beginning their duties.
“I, , do solemnly swear (affirm) that I will support and maintain the Constitution and laws of the United States and the Constitution and laws of North Carolina not inconsistent therewith and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of my office as so help me God.”
