Each registrant shall maintain in full force and effect a commercial general liability insurance policy reasonably acceptable to the city with a minimum policy limit of $1,000,000 per occurrence and shall provide the city with a certificate of insurance evidencing the insurance policy required by this section. The certificate shall state that the insurance policy shall not be canceled or non-renewed until after 30 days’ notice has been provided to the city; however, insurance may be canceled and replaced with a policy that continues to meet the requirements of this section. A registrant may satisfy the insurance requirements and conditions of this section under a reasonably acceptable self insurance plan. The city reserves the right to impose reasonable additional insurance requirements as part of a franchise agreement.
