§ 50.01 SEWER REPAIR POLICY.
   (A)   The city shall be responsible for the main collector system of the public sewer system that is not the responsibility of Sanitation District No. 1 of Kenton and Campbell Counties.
   (B)   The private property owner shall be responsible for the sewer lateral from its connection to the main collector system to and including the sewer system within the private property improvement.
   (C)   The city is not responsible for maintenance or cleaning of the sewer lateral between the private property and the main collector system. The main collectors of the public sewer system do not include any laterals even though the laterals are located under the public right-of-way.
   (D)   A multiple service lateral may be accepted into the public sewer system by City Commissioners’ ordinance if it meets the following criteria:
      (1)   The lateral serves more than one private property owner;
      (2)   The lateral is in an obstruction free easement; and
      (3)   The lateral has a clean-out at each service attachment within the easement.
   (E)   The sewer usage service charge is to be used for maintenance and repair of the public sewer system only, and not for maintenance of private property nor for sewer lines that are the responsibility of Sanitation District No. 1 of Kenton and Campbell Counties.
