§ 36.022 MISUSE OF CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
   An official or employee, a former official or employee, a contractor or a consultant may not use confidential information, obtained formally or informally as part of his or her work for the city or due to his or her position with the city for his or her own benefit or for the benefit or disadvantage of any other person or entity, or make such information available in a manner where it would be reasonably foreseeable that a person or entity would benefit from it or be harmed by it; provided, however, that, this shall not prohibit any public servant from disclosing any information concerning conduct which the public servant knows or reasonably believes to involve waste, inefficiency, corruption, criminal activity or conflict of interest.
