A. Minor Violations, Definition: Any person accused of a violation of any section of this title pertaining to motor vehicles, except the following:
1. A violation which has caused an accident;
2. Speeding in excess of fifteen (15) miles per hour over the speed limit;
3. Driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs;
4. Reckless driving;
5. Reckless homicide;
6. Drag racing;
7. Leaving the scene of an accident;
8. Driving while license is suspended; and
9. Overtaking and passing a school bus,
shall be considered accused of a minor violation, and may settle in compromise the city's claim of said violation by paying the sum of thirty dollars ($30.00) prior to the date set forth for adjudication hearing on the CC/adjudication citation.
B. "CC/Adjudication" Citations:
1. The police department is hereby authorized to issue "CC/adjudication" citations for all minor violations. The notice will be issued on a "CC/adjudication" citation form with the name, address, and, if available, the driver's license number of the alleged offender.
C. Minor Violation Citation, Not Exclusive: Nothing contained in this section shall be deemed to make the issuance of a "CC/adjudication" citation the exclusive means by which a police officer may cite an alleged offender. (Ord. 04-22-0, 5-12-2004)
