7-2-1: CITY PARK:
   A.   Definition: As used in this section, the term "City Park" shall mean the land owned, leased, controlled or maintained by the City for public recreational purposes, and located at the corner of Illinois Street and Michigan Street in the City.
   B.   Hours Of Operation: The City Park shall close at eleven o'clock (11:00) P.M. and open at six o'clock (6:00) A.M. daily. No person shall use, occupy or conduct any activities in the City Park during such times as the park is closed. (Ord. 278, 2-5-1991)
   C.   Use Of Utilities: Any person or organization using the City Park for any reason requiring the use of the utilities within the park shall reimburse the City in accordance with subsection D2 of this section. (Res. 284, 11-5-1991; amd. 2015 Code)
   D.   Reservation For Park Use:
      1.   Request For Park Use: Any for profit or nonprofit organizations and/or individual parties must contact City Hall to reserve the City Park for any and all events. Authorization will be granted or denied at the next scheduled City Council meeting to be held before the proposed event. All reservation requests must be submitted in writing and include:
         a.   Date and time of the event.
         b.   The purpose of the event.
         c.   Name and contact number of the responsible party. (Ord. 436, 6-10-2008)
      2.   Fee: The use of the park itself is free. A per day fee as established by resolution of the City Council will be required if water and electricity are used and must be paid at City Hall prior to the event. (Ord. 436, 6-10-2008; amd. 2015 Code)
      3.   Damage: Any damage that the park may sustain during the event will be repaired at the cost of the event's responsible party. (Ord. 436, 6-10-2008)
   E.   Violation; Penalty: Any person who violates any provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined as provided in section 1-4-1 of this Code. (Ord. 278, 2-5-1991; amd. 2015 Code)
