A. Definitions: For purposes of this section, the following words shall have the following meanings:
DANGEROUS WEAPON: Bow and arrow, pellet gun, pellet pistol, slingshot or any other weapon or device which, when used in the ordinary manner contemplated by its design and construction, will propel a projectile which is likely to cause great bodily injury.
FIREARM: Any deadly weapon capable of ejecting or propelling one or more projectiles by the action of any explosive or combustible propellant.
B. Discharge Prohibited: It shall be unlawful to discharge any firearm or dangerous weapon within the city limits. (Ord. 277, 10-9-1990)
C. Violation; Penalty: Any person violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. (Ord. 277, 10-9-1990; amd. 2015 Code)
