Any person found to be in violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon the conviction thereof, shall pay a fine of an amount not to exceed the sum of three hundred dollars ($300.00), together with costs, or shall be imprisoned in the city jail for a period of time not to exceed thirty (30) days, or shall be both fined and imprisoned.
