§ 8.105  SAME; PUBLIC HEARING; PUBLIC NOTICE.
   a.   Pursuant to S.C. Code § 6-1-80, as amended, the Town Council shall determine a place and time for a public hearing on the budget.
   b.   Public notice shall be given by advertising the public hearing before the adoption of the budget in at least one newspaper of local general circulation.
   c.   The notice shall be given not less than 15 days in advance of the public hearing and must be a minimum of two columns wide with a bold headline.
   d.   The public notice shall consist of the requirements of S.C. Code § 6-1-80.

   S.C. Code § 6-1-80 requires every municipality to hold a public hearing on its budget to provide notice to the public by advertising the public hearing before the adoption of its budget for the next fiscal year in at least one South Carolina newspaper of general circulation in the area, not less than 15 days in advance of the public hearing. It also provides the details of the notice which must be a minimum of two columns wide with a bold headline.
