The Clerk/Treasurer shall:
a. Prepare, file and keep in an auditable, orderly manner all town records;
b. Issue business licenses and permits in accordance with town ordinances. Any questionable permits or licenses will be referred to the Mayor;
c. Serve as a receptionist for the town;
d. Receive and furnish information to the general public during the office hours set by the Mayor;
e. Keep the Mayor and Council informed;
f. Notify press and pertinent personnel, post agendas (approved by the Mayor) on outside of Town Hall at least 24 hours before Council meetings;
g. Receive, record and deposit all court and town revenues;
h. Keep adequate records to ensure accountability of all monies received or dispersed;
i. Track budget expenditures by categories. Any over expenditures shall be first approved by Town Council;
j. Keep the Mayor and Council informed as the need arises to approaching over expenditures;
k. Pay all accounts payable in a timely manner; and
l. Keep records as required by the judge in ensure accountability of all court revenues.
