a. Any act prohibited by this code, or any amendment hereto, for which a penalty is not herein prescribed, shall be punishable as a misdemeanor by fine or imprisonment, or both, to the extent permitted by the laws of the state; provided, however, no fine shall exceed $500 or imprisonment for a term not to exceed 30 days, or both. Each day any such violation shall continue shall be treated as a separate offense, unless otherwise provided.
b. The Municipal Judge may order restitution in an amount not to exceed $7,500. In determining the amount of restitution, the Judge shall determine and itemize the actual amount of damage or loss in the order. In addition, the judge may set an appropriate payment schedule.
c. A Municipal Judge may hold a party in contempt for failure to pay the restitution ordered if the Judge finds the party has the ability to pay.
