A. Backflow Valves: All water lines serving commercial, industrial, or multiple dwelling structures which are connected to the municipal water system shall contain an automatic backflow valve to prevent contamination of the municipal water in the event of low pressure. The valve shall be of a type approved by the Building Official. This subsection shall be retroactive.
B. Hydrant Shutoff Valves: All fire hydrants installed in the City, except those in single-family residential districts, shall be equipped with a shutoff valve in the water supply line.
