The following species of trees, listed by common name, constitutes the official street tree species for the village. No species other than those included in this list may be planted as street trees without permission of the Village Board.

(B) Any request to plant street trees other than those listed above shall be by written request to the Village Board which may grant the variance by a majority vote.
