Members of the Village Board of Trustees may perform and, upon Board approval, receive compensation for seasonal or emergency work subject to the requirements in §§ 31.036 and 31.037, and for such purposes the governing body of the village may, at its discretion, declare any of the offices of members of the Village Board of Trustees to be merged with the employment position known as “Village Maintenance Person” or such other employment as is customarily undertaken by the village for general maintenance of the village.
