A. Use Of Premises: No person shall cause or allow any matter or thing to be or to be done in or about any building or structure, dangerous or prejudicial to health.
B. Leasing Of Unsanitary Buildings Prohibited:
1. Clean Condition Required: No owner, agent, lessee or person in possession, charge or control of any building or any part thereof shall lease or let the same, or any portion thereof, or allow the same to be occupied by any person as a dwelling or lodging house, unless such building, or such parts thereof, are in a clean and wholesome condition.
2. Nuisance Declared: Any building or part thereof which, by reason of its unsanitary condition or of its being infected with disease, is unfit for human habitation, or which from any cause is a source of sickness among the inhabitants of the Town, or which otherwise endangers the public health is hereby defined a "public nuisance".
C. Overcrowding Prohibited: No owner, lessee or keeper of any tenement house or lodging house shall cause or allow the same to be overcrowded or cause or allow so great a number of persons to dwell, be or sleep in any such house, as thereby to cause any danger or detriment to health. D. Penalty: Any person who violates or fails or refuses to comply with any of the provisions of this section or resists any officer in the discharge of his duty concerning any of the matters in this section contained shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. (1998 Code)
