§ 35.27 LIEUTENANTS.
   (A)   Lieutenants shall be included in the ranks as line officers used to direct members at emergencies, and assist the Chief, Officers and Captains in seeing all rules, orders and task are carried out at all times.
   (B)   Lieutenants shall assist with any work assigned by superior officers ensuring it is completed and correct. They will ensure all daily task and work assigned are completed. Assist with record keeping and ensuring all equipment is maintained and ready for use.
   (C)   Career Lieutenant(s) shall be a current member of the career force. He or she shall remain employed during his or her tenure as lieutenant. He or she shall reside within a 12-air-mile radius of the Corry Fire Station # 1 and shall have five years interior firefighting experience and have served a minimum of two years as a full-time career firefighter with the City of Corry Fire Department, if the interior firefighting experience was not all with the City of Corry Fire Department, he or she will provide notarized documents of previous service and training. He or she shall possess certified training in the following areas:
      (1)   Incident command;
      (2)   Fire suppression;
      (3)   Rescue;
      (4)   Hazardous materials;
      (5)   Officer training; and
      (6)   Valid Pennsylvania State EMS Certification.
   (D)   Volunteer Lieutenants shall be elected from the city's Volunteer Department upon meeting their requirements.
