Since the town has many existing lots that do not have survey monuments (markers) on all corners of said lots, it is required that surveys be made to identify the boundaries on such lots before a building permit can be issued for new residential buildings or residential remodelings that extend the building footprint into a yard area. Accessory buildings in rear yards do not require a survey to be done on such lots. (Ord., 1-18-2005)
