3-5-17: PENALTY:
   A.   Any person, who knowingly violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter shall be subject to a civil fine not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500.00). Each day the violation is committed, or permitted to continue, shall constitute a separate offense and shall be fined as such.
   B.   Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a class B misdemeanor and, upon conviction, subject to the penalty as provided in this code.
   C.   The town attorney is hereby authorized to institute criminal or civil proceedings necessary for the enforcement of this chapter to prosecute, restrain or correct violations hereof. Such proceedings, including injunction, shall be brought in the name of the town; provided, however, that nothing in this section and no action taken thereunder, shall be held to exclude such criminal proceedings as may be authorized by other provisions of this code, or any of the laws or ordinances in force in the town, or to exempt anyone violating this code or any part of the said laws from any penalty which may be incurred.
