Where a subdivision is traversed by a watercourse, there shall be provided a storm water easement or surface drainage easement conforming substantially with the lines of such watercourse and approved as to alignment and width by the City Engineer. Authority or permission from the Department of Natural Resources must be obtained by the owner when required as set out in the Code of Iowa.
