170.10 RELEASE, EXPIRATION OR EXTENSION OF BOND.
Prior to the release or expiration of bond or termination of escrow arrangements, the Council requires that the City Engineer certify that he or she was notified by the subdivider in writing a minimum of five (5) days prior to the installation of required improvements for inspection purposes, that all required improvements were properly installed and that neither the subdivision as built nor improvements installed deviate from the approved plans and specifications or the final approved plat. The subdivider’s engineer shall submit certified as-built plans detailing as-built elevations and locations of improvements. Should the required improvements not be completed within the duration of the bond or escrow arrangements the subdivider may request the Council for an extension of time for the installation of the balance of the improvements. Should such request be granted the subdivider shall deposit with the City a surety bond or an escrow agreement for the length of extension granted. Said instruments shall be approved as to form and type by the City Attorney and as to adequacy of amount by the City Engineer.
