150.12 PROHIBITED ACTS.
No person shall do any of the following except by specific written permission from the Forester to do so:
1.   Willfully damage, cut, carve, transplant or remove any tree or shrub on public property;
2.   Attach any rope, wire, nails or other contrivance to any such tree or shrub;
3.   Cause or permit any wire charged with electricity to come in contact with such tree or shrub, unless protected by approved methods;
4.   Attach any electrical insulation to any public tree or shrub;
5.   Allow any gaseous, liquid or solid substance which is harmful to such trees or shrubs to come in contact with them or their roots;
6.   Set fire or permit any fire to burn when such fire or the heat thereof will injure any portion of any public tree or shrub;
7.   Use tree spurs or climbers on trees located on streets or public property.
In the event that such damage does occur, the City Forester shall direct the offending party to immediately, and at said party’s own expense, repair or replace the affected tree or shrub and/or remove any and all unauthorized attachments.
