(A) In the absence or disability of both the Mayor and the Vice Mayor, the Council may designate another of its members to serve as acting Mayor, who shall have the powers, duties, and responsibilities of the Mayor during such absence or disability.
(B) In the event that the office of Mayor becomes vacant for any reason, then the Vice Mayor shall assume the office of Mayor to fill the unexpired term of Mayor, and the Council shall elect a Vice Mayor from among their number to fill the unexpired term of Vice Mayor.
