The elected officers of the City shall be six Council members and a Mayor. The Mayor, Vice Mayor, and the Council members shall constitute the Council and shall continue in office until assumption of office by their duly elected successors. The six Council members shall serve four-year overlapping terms in the manner provided by state statute. The Mayor shall serve a two-year term in the manner provided by statute.
